Polyester cord offers excellent resistance to moisture and is frequently used in outdoor applications. Some common uses are ,lumber strapping, agricultural (bracing of fruit trees), and the boat industry. Cord is used only in manual applications and is sealed using buckles, seals, or hand tied. Cord strapping is available in both polyester and rayon, and in two basic forms:
- Uniline cord- manufactured by gluing fibers together
- Cross woven- a cross weave is added between the fibers.
